Kathleen's Farm #3

On Tuesday I visited Kathleen's farm, and as usual (see 'Kathleen's Farm' #1 and #2) we had a wonderful time walking through fields, forests and streams. This time we took Archie, a relatively new dog-shaped addition to the family, along with us which made the whole day even more fun than usual. I also couldn't resist taking a a few photos of the inside of their lovely house.

Dublin

I spent the last few days of July on a trip to Dublin with Izzy, which was really great as we ate a lot of nice food and visited a lot of pretty and interesting places. We got there quite early on the first day so had a bit of time to get our bearings and walk around before getting drenched on the way to Iveagh Gardens to see David O'Doherty at the Vodafone Comedy Festival (which was utterly brilliant).

On Monday we visited the Castle, George's St. Arcade and Powerscourt Centre which was lovely. In between the two, and to shelter ourselves from the rain, we stopped to have lunch from Blazing Salads, whose roasted vegetables were so delicious that I dreamt about them that night. We also sat in St Stephen's Green for a while (hiding from the rain again) before having another walk round Temple Bar. In the evening we went for a walk down the River Liffey which was an excellent decision because of the lovely sunset.

I don't have many photos from Tuesday (partly because of MORE rain), but I do have some of Trinity College Library. After that we went to the Illusion exhibition at the Science Gallery and sat in St Stephen's Green some more. We spent that evening at the Ha'penny Bridge Inn for a comedy night which was not good.

We chose Wednesday, the rainiest and windiest day of our trip, to go to DĂșn Laoghaire on the Dart. Although the weather was annoyingly bad, it did make the views quite pretty and we ended up seeking cover in the Endurance Exhibition which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.
