Serviettes, blu tack and an A3 sketch book

is all I need to make nice photos of cakes and other things of a similar size, I have discovered. I can never seem to get a good background when I want to take photos of cake/cakes, or if I do, the light's usually terrible. But I seem to have solved that problem now and these three things helped me take these...

 

A few weeks ago my beautiful friend Naomi and I decided to make use of the snow and take some photos. This is my favourite one from then.

Hi and welcome to my typical first post.
The main reason this blog exists is because I signed up to make it easier to follow a few blogs I read, and I thought I may as well create a blog while I was at it. I also like to have somewhere that I can post my own photos. And when I think I have something worthy of being shared I'd like a specific place for those to go, so I can link to them. I do have a tumblr (sarahnb.tumblr.com) but that has unfortunately started to piss me off a bit too much and none of its free themes are particularly suited to showing off photos. I'm not expecting to get a single follower (which is fine), so I suppose I'm talking to myself now. Better stop it.
